Job Description
- Applicants working at this post are required to provide technical expertise and support to the Site Manager, KNHS and Asset Manager Yukon Field Unit, internal clients, staff and stakeholders working at this post.
- Candidates working at this post are required to manage a staff of approximately 17 skilled and semi-skilled trade staff working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates for this post must have completed graduation from a post-secondary institution with a specialization in a field like an engineering discipline, Red Seal Trade certification or any other.
- Candidates for this post must have prior experience in providing asset management advice and expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
- Candidates for this post must have experience preparing and managing service and construction tender packages and contracts to be eligible for this post.
- They must have dedicated experience in inspecting and evaluating asset-related projects and programs to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants for this post must have completed graduation with a diploma in Engineering Technology from a recognized college in Canada.
- They must attain the ability to become a Certified Engineering Technologist to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants must have prior experience working with Indigenous partners to get preferred for this post.
- Candidates for this post must have prior experience working in a northern and/or isolated location similar to Dawson, Yukon to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- They must have dedicated knowledge of contracting and Cultural Resource Management to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have prior knowledge of workplace health and safety policies and practices to be eligible for this post.
