Job Description

  • The candidate must attend educational conferences and workshops.
  • The candidate will be expected to discuss the results and students’ progress with them, their parents, and school officials.
  • The candidate will be responsible for evaluating and documenting student progress.
  • The candidate must participate in educational conferences and teacher training workshops.
  • The candidate must participate in staff meetings.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising teaching assistants and training student teachers.
  • The candidate must assign and correct homework.
  • The candidate must develop the course content.
  • The candidate must identify the children’s individual learning needs.
  • The candidate must lead students in activities that promote their physical, mental, and social development and school readiness.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing remedial programs for students who require additional assistance.
  • The candidate must prepare subject material for presentation in accordance with an approved curriculum.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing, administering, and correcting tests.
  • The candidate will be responsible for teaching students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have Emergency Child Care, First Aid, and CPR Certification and a Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate.
