Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to monitor, maintain, support, and optimise the end-user computing environment on enterprise-wide platforms like ERP, GIS and AV Technology.
- They are also appointed to oversee IT assets and contracts to ensure financial and operational efficiencies, as well as maximise value from all contracts.
- Candidates are also appointed to assign projects, business requests, and operational duties to ensure proper allocation of staff to meet City goals.
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to create a multi-year solution roadmap per enterprise solution and oversee solution architecture.
- They’re also appointed to provide technical guidance and expertise to OCIO management and staff in a diverse and highly complex computing environment.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain a dedicated bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or a suitable equivalent.
- They must have public administration certifications or designations, Management Certificates, and/or a suitable college diploma in Technical discipline to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in technical support of complex and diverse computer environments.
- They must have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience and possess project management knowledge of implementing technology solutions.
- Candidates must attain high levels of ability to think and act proactively and strategically.
- They must attain the ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems based on consideration of all critical factors, including long and short-term impacts.
Work setting
- Candidates must have a high level of communication and negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex situations or conflicts in a constructive and principled manner.
