Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to supervise the day-to-day operation of all assigned staff, including scheduling, assigning and reviewing work. 
  • They’re also appointed at this post to monitor and evaluate staff performance, approve salary increments, hear grievances, and recommend disciplinary action working at this post. 
  • Candidates for this post are required to contract management agencies to deliver violence prevention, intervention response and recovery efforts.
  • Candidates will have to facilitate individual, programmatic, and community-based safety planning and mobilization.
  • Candidates are also required to prepare or supervise the preparation of publications, popular, age and culturally-appropriate training tools and community outreach materials.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have extensive experience in supervising leading, coaching, motivating, monitoring, evaluating and developing individuals and teams to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have completed a degree in Sociology, Social Work, Community Health Promotion, or a related field to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to promote effective collaboration, coordination, and teamwork among a broad range of stakeholders, including residents, community agencies, the private sector, and City staff to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must attain the ability to exercise discretion, judgment and political acumen in public and human relations while working with a high degree of autonomy to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must have dedicated possession of a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle for work to get preferred for this post.
