Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
  • The candidate would be responsible in resolving problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring adequate staffing to minimise customer wait time.
  • The candidate must provide excellent customer service in a productive and efficient manner.
  • The candidate must create and maintain a positive working environment for all cashiers.
  • The candidate must operate registers and perform general checkout functions.
  • The candidate will be expected to resolve cash tills when they close, ensuring that the money matches the report and is safely stored.
  • The candidate will be responsible for overseeing cash transactions, cash reconciliations, account payments, account receivables, and other accounting duties in accordance with company policies.
  • The candidate will be in charge of collecting cash register contents at the end of each shift and delivering funds to the office.
  • The candidate will be expected to manage both cash and card payments for customers.
  • On a regular basis, the candidate will be required to supervise checkout stations.
  • The candidate will be expected to evaluate and provide feedback on the performance of cash associates.
  • The candidate must ensure that customer transactions are processed quickly and accurately.
  • The candidate must generate cash-related documents and account reports.
  • The candidate must ensure that merchandise is properly displayed, stocked, and labelled.
  • The candidate must ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practises, as well as support the company’s loss prevention efforts.
  • The candidate must create and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate store coverage.
  • The candidate will be required to authorise and ensure the validity of customer returns, exchanges, check authorizations, and voids.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist with general supervision in accordance with company policies and procedures, such as opening and closing the store and providing front-end coverage as needed.
  • The candidate will be expected to conduct performance evaluations/observations on cashiers in order to enhance customer service scores.
  • The candidate must maintain awareness of all promotions, advertisements, and new product samples.
