Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are responsible for supervising, organizing and coordinating the daily operations of the compliance and training team.
- Candidates are also appointed to provide leadership, functional guidance and technical direction to staff.
- Candidates are responsible for the development of processes, policies, standards and practices, and the strategic planning process, that supports regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
- Candidates must deliver results that are aligned with the Corporation’s strategic vision, direction, and service priorities.
- They’re also appointed to provide leadership to the water operations team through ethical and accountable decision-making, coaching and developing staff.
- Candidates are also appointed to embrace service delivery with a citizen-focused approach and provide encouragement, guidance, and technical direction.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain successful completion of a University Degree in Environmental Science, or equivalent, and full membership in the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists as a Certified Engineering Technologist.
- They must obtain a university degree in civil engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited university and be registered as a Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of proven, progressive and more responsible related work experience with at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a unionized municipal environment.
- They must have dedicated knowledge of enterprise resource planning software and customer relationship management systems.
- Candidates must attain the ability to work with data and develop operational programs which are flexible and goal-oriented.
- They must have dedicated knowledge of collective agreement administration and labor relations principles.
Work setting
- Candidates must attain the ability to oversee the planning, design and supervision of construction and maintenance projects.
