Job Description
- Applicants who apply for this post are required to participate in monthly maintenance meetings and ensure that maintenance records are kept up to date by providing input to the maintenance clerk working at this post.
- They’re appointed to this post to ensure that all work adheres to the Ministry of Transportation legislated requirements, working in this post.
- People applying for this post must ensure that assigned staff comply with all safety requirements, Corporate policy and procedures, and Standard Practice Instructions.
- Candidates who applied for this post must support the orientation and training of new Transit Maintenance staff in Transit policies and procedures, working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates interested in this post must have at least 5 years of experience as journeyperson tradespersons after attaining trade certification.
- To be considered an asset for this post, they must hold a valid Truck and Coach Technician (310T) certificate and maintain it in good standing.
- To be eligible for this post, candidates must attain a current Ontario Government Certificate of Qualifications as Automotive Service Technicians.
- To be eligible for this post, candidates must have a valid G Driver’s License, D or C Ontario Driver’s License with a “Z” endorsement preferred, and a Driving Abstract acceptable to the city.
- To be eligible for this post, applicants must demonstrate the ability to act as coaches and mentors through staff development.
- To be eligible for this post, candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills.
