Job Description
- Candidates interested in this post are also appointed to ensure that employees are instructed in methods, procedures, and performance standards for all maintenance activities and operations working at this post.
- People accountable at this post for managing statistical data such as book-offs, sick absences, overtime, lieu/floater day requests, and accident/incident forms working at this post.
- Candidates interested in this post participate in monthly maintenance meetings and ensure that maintenance records are kept up to date via input to the maintenance clerk working at this post.
- Applicants interested in this post to support the orientation and training of new Transit Maintenance staff in Transit policies and procedures working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a journeyperson tradesperson, following attainment of trade certification to be eligible for this post.
- They must hold a valid – Truck and Coach Technician certificate and maintain it in good standing to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have a valid G Driver’s License D or C Ontario Driver’s License with a “Z” endorsement is preferred with a Driving Abstract acceptable to the city.
- Applicants must be able to work nights, weekends, afternoons, days, and stat holidays with various off days to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must possess the ability to establish effective working relationships, with internal and external stakeholders to be eligible for this post.
