Job Description
- Applicants at this post are required to perform cashier duties, sell permits and assist in the operation of sales outlets working at this post.
- Candidates are also appointed to greet and orient visitors and deliver reception, orientation, public safety and visitor experience information working at this post.
- Applicants at this post are also appointed to adapt information when delivering presentations to address the needs of specific visitor groups and individuals, to reflect a target market and personal approach working at this post.
- Applicants at this post are required to participate in the coordination and delivery of familiarization tours for clients and tourism industry stakeholders working at this post.
- Candidates working at this post are also appointed to participate in the coordination and delivery of after-hours special events and private functions working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution in a program leading to a degree or diploma to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants are also required to deliver interpretive programs, theater arts, museum education or storytelling working at this post.
- Candidates for this post are also appointed to respond to public and visitor inquiries, providing guidance and information to be eligible for this post.
- They must have dedicated general knowledge of the National Historic Sites Visitor Experience offered in the Banff Field Unit to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants must be willing and able to work weekends, irregular hours, overtime and statutory and provincial holidays to be preferred for this post.
