Job Description

The candidate will be required to spray acoustic or texture materials on walls and ceilings.
The candidate must mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency.
The candidate will be required to clean and prepare surfaces for plaster, cement, stucco, or similar material applications, such as drywall taping.
The candidate will be expected to apply, level, and smooth plaster coats.
The candidate will be required to trowel or spray stucco coats over building exteriors to form weatherproof surfaces.
If necessary, the candidate will be required to finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat.
The candidate will be required to mould and install decorative plaster panels, cornices, and trim.
The candidate will be required to cure freshly plastered surfaces.
The candidate will be required to install guidewires on the exterior surfaces of buildings to indicate the thickness of plaster or stucco, as well as nail wire mesh, lath, or similar materials to the outside surface to hold stucco in place.
The candidate will be expected to mix mortar and plaster to the desired consistency or to direct workers who do so.
The candidate will be required to use a scratcher to roughen the undercoat surface so that the finish coat adheres.
The candidate will be required to install prefabricated insulation systems over existing walls or cover the outer wall with insulation board, reinforcing mesh, and a base coat to apply insulation to building exteriors.
The candidate will be required to build scaffolding so that plaster can be applied to ceilings and other difficult-to-reach areas, as well as reposition it as needed.
The candidate will be required to hang sheets to protect doors and windows from wet plaster and to remove light switch covers.
At the end of each work day, the candidate will be required to remove all tools and scaffolding from the job site and ensure that high cleanliness standards are maintained.
The candidate must produce finished interior surfaces on ceilings, walls, and partitions based on verbal instructions, blueprints, or drawings from architects.
The candidate will be responsible for selecting appropriate plastering materials for various sites.
The candidate will be responsible for inspecting and priming surfaces for plastering.
When necessary, the candidate will be required to fix and repair previous plastering work.
