Job description

  • Candidates must  develop planning, adjusting, and projecting work, schedules, costs, and systems as needed.
  • They need to verify the accuracy, quality, reliability, functionality, system requirements, and/or specifications are met in a given process.
  • They will review data for discrepancies, errors, trends, or potential cost savings, report and provide suggested solutions as necessary.
  • They will evaluate the impact and implications of findings.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must complete post-secondary college diploma.
  • They must possess university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • They must understand and apply relevant laws and regulations.
  • They should apply the principles and practices of quality assurance.
  • They must apply analytical skills.
  • They must communicate in a variety of mediums.
  • They must understand and apply administrative policies, processes, and procedures.
  • They must use office technology, software and applications.

Work setting

  • Candidates must possess understanding of how the various skills associated with the maintenance of revenue and non-revenue transit vehicles are utilized in a vehicle repair environment.
  • They must have the ability to supervise the activities of a group of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled unionized employees.
  • They must have good understanding of the applicable regulations governing the maintenance of transit vehicles and applicable environmental regulations.
