Job Description

  • Candidates working in this post are required to provide the client with instruction and correction that is inclusionary, respectful and developmentally appropriate to ensure success for the client.
  • Candidates who apply for this post are required to ensure proper storage and maintenance of equipment at the end of each lesson or clinic working at this post.
  • Candidates who applied for this post are also required to plan and provide instruction for squash clinics and registered group instruction programs for adults working at this post.
  • Candidates who applied for this post are also required to incorporate FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development in program delivery when appropriate working at this post.
  • Applicants are also responsible for managing challenging behaviours from clients or participants and providing first aid when required.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must hold an NCCP Level 1 Coaching Certification to be eligible for this post.
  •  Candidates must be enrolled in or have a Secondary School Diploma to be preferred for this post.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of experience coaching or instructing squash to be preferred for this post.
  • Applicants must hold a valid certificate for Emergency First Aid with CPR B at minimum to be preferred for this post.
  • Candidates must have strong written and verbal skills and program leadership skills to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must be able to provide verbal, visual and kinesthetic cues to accommodate all learning styles to be preferred for this post.

Work setting 

  • Applicants must have explanations and instructions that are clear and easy to understand to be eligible for this post.
  • LllApplicants must have coaching skills that are positive and encouraging in delivery tone to be preferred for this post.
