Job Description
- The candidate must estimate the amount and cost of supplies and food items.
- The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- The candidate must demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to kitchen staff.
- The candidate must create new recipes.
- The candidate will be responsible for instructing cooks on food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
- The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals as well as specialty foods for events such as banquets.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising cooks and other kitchen personnel.
- The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, as well as for special guests or functions.
- The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
- The candidate must request food and kitchen supplies.
- The candidate will be responsible for training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
