Job Description

  • The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • The candidate must analyze operating costs and other data.
  • The candidate must demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff.
  • The candidate must supervise the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • The candidate must create new recipes.
  • The candidate will be responsible for instructing cooks on food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
  • The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals as well as specialty foods for events such as banquets.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising cooks and other kitchen staff.
  • The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, as well as for special guests or functions.
  • The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
  • The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • The candidate must arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for consulting with clients on weddings, banquets, and special events.

  • The candidate will be responsible for planning and directing the food preparation and cooking activities at several restaurants.

  • The candidate will be responsible for recruiting and hiring staff.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising the activities of sous-chefs, specialistย chefs, chefs, and cooks.
  • The candidate will be responsible for training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 5 to 10 people.
  • The candidate must have Cook Trade Certification and Food Safety Certificate.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must be able to work in hot conditions.
