Job Description

  • The candidate must check, lubricate, refuel and clean equipment.
  • The candidate must be able to operate various vehicles and equipment.
  • The candidate must report any malfunctions to supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in French language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, a Class 1/1F/A Licence (for semi-trailer trucks), and a Class 3/3F/DF Licence (for trailer trucks and vehicles with more than three axles).
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate must be flexible.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

  • The candidate must work in the shop.
  • The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.

Experience and specialization

Truck or equipment experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating road spraying truck, salt truck, sanding truck, snowblower, and snowplough.

  • The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

  • The candidate must have 20/20 vision.
  • The candidate should be willing to work for long hours in sitting positions.

Own tools/equipment
