Job Description
- The candidate must be able to operate buses, school buses, or streetcars in order to transport passengers.
- The candidate must report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents.
- The candidate will have to load and unload vehicles.
- The candidate will be required to direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures.
- The candidate will be required to complete logbooks and reports.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring children’s safety when boarding and exiting buses, as well as crossing the street while the bus is stopped.
- The candidate will be expected to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections as well as oversee all vehicle aspects.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have a provincial or territorial commercial vehicle licence (Class 4 or E).
- The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs), 13.5 kg (30 lbs), and 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should be a good team player.

- The candidate’s relocation expenses will not be covered by the employer.
