Job Description
- The candidate must establish methods to meet work schedules.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
- The candidate must train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- The candidate must estimate the ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation.
- The candidate will be responsible for hiring food service staff.
- The candidate must ensure that the food and service meet quality control standards.
- The candidate must prepare budgets and cost estimates.
- The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and waste.
- The candidate must prepare and submit reports.
- The candidate must prepare food order summaries for the chef.
- The candidate must be familiar with the establishment’s culinary genres.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising and checking assembly of trays.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising and checking the delivery of food trolleys.
- The candidate must establish work schedules.
- The candidate will be required to participate in marketing plans and implementation.
- The candidate must negotiate with clients for catering or facility use.
- The candidate must ensure that health and safety regulations are followed.
- The candidate must conduct performance evaluations.
- The candidate must balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
- The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
- The candidate must negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
- The candidate must organize and keep inventory.
- The candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office.
- The candidate must determine the type of services to be provided and implement operational procedures.
- The candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in French language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising cook (general), food and beverage servers, food service counter attendants and food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers, working groups, and staff in various areas of responsibility.
- The candidate must be able to supervise more than 20 people.
- The candidate should be client focused.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
- The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
- The candidate should be dependable.
