The successful candidate for this position is expected to start work as quickly as possible. The role being offered is Permanent employment or Full time job. The shift timings for this position include the Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning, 08:00 to 17:00. The candidate will also have the option of working remotely.

Job Description

  • The candidate must prepare reports or case histories.
  • The candidate must perform office and administrative tasks.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assessing clients’ needs and eligibility for specific services.
  • The candidate must assess the client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for conducting follow-up assessments.
  • The candidate must plan, coordinate, and carry out the delivery of specific services in the community.
  • The candidate must be able to resolve conflict situations.
  • The candidate must communicate with other social service agencies and healthcare providers who work with clients.
  • The candidate must maintain program statistics for evaluation and research purposes.
  • The candidate must accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
  • The candidate must train or arrange for training.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be bilingual.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate will supervise committees and staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • The candidate must have Cultural Awareness Training and a CPR Certificate.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate must be versatile.

  • Worksite environment provides education, training, and settlement services for new immigrants.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
  • The candidate’s relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
  • The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
  • The candidate must work in a social service or charity agency, as well as a community centre.
