We are in search of a self-disciplined individual with outstanding interpersonal skills. The selected applicant will be required to join and take their responsibilities at the earliest. The open positions are for Permanent employment or Part time leading to full time job. The timings of shifts may be Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call and Morning.

Job Description

  • The candidate must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
  • The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
  • The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques, or room billings.
  • The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for advising on menu selection.
  • The candidate must balance cash and keep sales records.
  • The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • The candidate must describe and advise on wine selection.
  • The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing sensory evaluations on wines.
  • The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
  • The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff.
  • The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate does not have any supervision responsibilities.
  • The candidate must have a Food and beverage server trade certificate, Customer Service Excellence Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Responsible Beverage Service Certificate, Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate, and Serving It Right Certificate.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
  • The candidate must work in a formal dining room setting.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about Point of sale system.

Cuisine specialties

  • The candidate must specialize in Vietnamese cuisine.
