Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to conduct investigative interviews, prepare comprehensive documentation, and identify and secure evidence working at this post.
- They’re also appointed for this post for completing reports required for court proceedings and appearing as a witness during trials or other hearings working at this post.
- They’re appointed at this post for drafting investigative reports including Reports to or Briefs for Crown Counsel.
- IApplicants at this post are also appointed to establish credibility within the community, including law enforcement, Metis, and other cultural communities working on this post.
Job requirement
- Applicants working at this post must have comprehensive knowledge and experience applying the methods and techniques involved in complex criminal investigations to be eligible for this post.
- They must have prior knowledge of the Rules of Evidence to supervise the collection and preservation of evidence to be preferred for this post.
- They must have significant analytical skills and expertise to be preferred for this post.
- They must have prior skills in interviewing techniques statement-taking, and conflict resolution to be preferred for this post.
- They must be able to demonstrate sensitivity and discretion when dealing with those impacted by investigations to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must have prior knowledge of multicultural beliefs, values, and perspectives, particularly of Indigenous people working at this post.
Work setting
