Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are required to engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle facilitating internal workgroup meetings to ensure opportunities for input.
- Candidates are also required to provide leadership and direction to projects related to implementation and options, project risks and issues, resolve conflicts and mediate disagreements.
- Candidates for this post are also appointed to support the Manager Director and act as the division’s contact at various Committee and Council meetings, and in the Manager’s and Director’s absence working at this post.
- Candidates are also required to ensure quality customer service by providing timely, cost-effective and optimum delivery of services.
- Candidates are also required to develop briefing notes and reports for presentation relating to the delivery of the programme.
- Candidates are also required to ensure that the Director is prepared with the required briefings and presentation materials relating to the delivery of the projects.
Job requirement
- They must have post-secondary education in urban and regional planning, urban geography, and environmental studies to be eligible for this post.
- They must have dedicated experience with public consultation, stakeholder management and negotiations related to development applications and parkland.
- Candidates must have experience using appropriate computer applications GIS, Microsoft, PowerPoint and databases to be eligible for this post.
- They must have an understanding of the Planning Act, policy requirements and other related legislations.
- Candidates must attain the ability to understand, convey and use technical information in Parks, Forestry and Recreation planning processes and initiatives to be eligible for this post.
