Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to plan, coordinate, and oversee regulatory compliance and enforcement projects with other LCRB C&E staff and other agencies.
- They’re also appointed at this post to prepare operational plans and lead covert inspections or operations in the field.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain a dedicated bachelor’s degree in a related field like Law, Criminology, Social Science and others with 3 years related experience to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must acquire an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.
- Candidates must acquire dedicated experience in conducting field-based regulatory inspections.
- Candidates must be working in an environment requiring oversight and application of legislation at a federal, provincial, or municipal level.
- They must be gathering, assessing, and analyzing evidence and taking or recommending enforcement action.
- Candidates must give direct evidence and withstand cross-examination in judicial or administrative hearings.
- They must deal effectively with individuals in complex or sensitive situations by using tact, persuasiveness, and diplomacy.
- Candidates must attain 3 years’ experience in more than 3 related fields.
- They must have a dedicated bachelor’s degree in law or criminology to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must be required to possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and may be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
Work setting
- They may be required to travel throughout B.C. and also required to use a privately owned motor vehicle for work purposes to be eligible for this post.
