Job Description 

  • Candidates working at this post are required to perform assessment appraisal duties of a complex and technical nature in the inspection analysis valuation and support of multiple property types and values including the review of appraisal reports or engineering reports working at this post. 
  • They’re also required at this post to develop and maintain computer-assisted mass appraisal systems database standards and research criteria.
  • Candidates are also required to ensure consistent application and compliance with relevant municipal and provincial ordinances assessment policies and procedures including researching and evaluating valuation techniques methodologies and best practice processes.
  • They’re required at this post to provide leadership supervision and training to junior staff Provide direction assignment of duties and manage performance.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain a dedicated university degree in Economics or Commerce, along with completion of the Appraisal Institute of Canada’s first and second-level courses to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have completed the Saskatchewan Assessment Appraiser Association’s designation program or relevant certification to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates for this post must have extensive knowledge of all Acts, Laws and Regulations about Valuation and Property Assessment to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates for this post must have dedicated knowledge of Geographic Information Systems to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have the ability to analyze and quantify all market data evidence in the predictive valuation modelling process.

Work setting 

  • They must acquire the ability to interpret the municipal building by law and the effect on market values to be eligible for this post.
