Job Description

  • Candidates who apply for this post are required to ensure regulatory requirements and GM requirements are communicated, understood, implemented, and assessed at the site as required.
  • They’re also accountable for working effectively with union representatives to jointly resolve site-related issues, which is a key aspect of this position working at this post.
  • Candidates are also accountable for providing Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and technical and regulatory advice to site personnel working at this post.
  • They’re accountable at this post for assisting site Leadership to maintain compliance with all Health and Safety regulatory requirements working at this post.
  • They’re also appointed to participate in the successful development and execution of the annual Workplace Safety BPD action plans at the site working at this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 + years of experience in a full-time Workplace Safety, Ergonomics, or Industrial Hygiene position to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have prior knowledge of the Occupational Health Safety Act of Ontario to be preferred for this post.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a high level of initiative and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Candidates must attain the ability to take initiative and work on multiple assignments at one time with proven project and time management skills to be eligible for this post.
