Job Description

  • The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
  • The candidate must assist in surgery and other medical procedures.
  • The candidate must work with others to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care.
  • The candidate must perform a disease screening.
  • The candidate must deliver health education programs.
  • The candidate must deliver immunization programmes.
  • The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • The candidate must engage in nursing-related research activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing home care cases.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, addressing, documenting, and reporting symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • The candidate must operate or monitor medical equipment or apparatus.
  • The candidate must participate in community needs assessment and program development.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide consultative services on issues pertaining to the nursing profession and nursing practise.
  • The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.
  • The candidate must provide supportive counselling and life skills programming.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising licenced practical nurses and other nursing personnel.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 16 to 20 people.
  • The candidate must supervise staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • The candidate must be licensed as a registered nurse by provincial or territorial authorities and have a CPR and First Aid certificate.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
