Job Description

• The candidate must assist health care practitioners during examinations and treatments.
• The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients and notifying the physician of any changes in their condition.
• The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
• The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
• The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
• The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• The candidate must operate or monitor medical equipment or apparatus.
• The candidate must provide consulting services regarding issues relevant to nursing practice and the nursing profession.
• The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.
• The candidate will be responsible for supervising licenced practical nurses and other nursing personnel.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be bilingual.
• The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
• The candidate must hold a Mental health first aid Certificate, complete Tracheostomy care training, possess a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate and a CPR Certificate, be a Certified Nurse in Critical Care – Canada (CNCC-C), be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province or territory of work, and hold a First Aid Certificate along with licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
