Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients and notifying the physician of any changes in their condition.
- The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
- The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
- The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
- The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- The candidate must operate or monitor medical equipment or apparatus.
- The candidate must provide consulting services regarding issues relevant to nursing practice and the nursing profession.
- The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising licenced practical nurses and other nursing personnel.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in French language.
- The candidate must have College/CEGEP or equivalent experience in Registered nursing/registered nurse (RN, ASN, BSN, BScN, MSN, MScN), Nurse anesthetist, Clinical nurse specialist, Nursing practice, Geriatric nurse/nursing, Registered psychiatric nurse/nursing and Registered nursing, nursing administration, nursing research and clinical nursing, other.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising employees in various areas of responsibility.
- The candidate must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the province/territory where they will work.
- The candidate should be client focused.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
- The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
- The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting
- The candidate should work in a hospital or home for the aged; an aged care home, residential care and nursing home all describe the same service.
- The candidate must work in a hospital/medical facility or clinic.
- The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don’t need to be in a hospital but can’t be cared for at home.
