Job Description

  • The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
  • The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
  • The candidate must conduct disease screening.
  • The candidate must deliver health education programs.
  • The candidate must deliver immunization programs.
  • The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • The candidate must operate or monitor medical equipment or apparatus.
  • The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.
  • The candidate must provide supportive counselling and life skills programming.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising licenced practical nurses and other nursing personnel.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising employees in various areas of responsibility.
  • The candidate must have Fetal Health Surveillance Certification, Intravenous (IV) Therapy Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the province or territory of work, and be licensed as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
