Job Description

• The candidate must assist health care practitioners during examinations and treatments.
• The candidate must assist in surgery.
• The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients and notifying the physician of any changes in their condition.
• The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
• The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
• The candidate will be responsible for supervising licenced practical nurses and other nursing personnel.
• The candidate will be responsible for scheduling staff.
• The candidate must maintain an inventory of supplies.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be able to supervise 5 to 10 people.
• The candidate must have Bloodborne pathogens training Certification, Intravenous (IV) therapy Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate and be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the province or territory of work.
• The candidate should be client focused.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate must have excellent time management skills.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in an ambulatory care centre, hospital/medical facility, or a clinic.

• The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check.
• The candidate must have proof of immunization.

• The candidate should have an eye for details.
• The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced busy environment.
