Job Description
- The candidate must accept cash, cheque, credit card, or automatic debit payments.
- The candidate must be able to operate a cash register.
- The candidate must be able to use computerised inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
- The candidate must provide advice about merchandise.
- The candidate will be responsible for advertising and/or promoting products, sales, and services.
- The candidate must provide excellent customer service.
- The candidate must assist in the display of merchandise.
- The candidate must greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services desired for purchase, rental, or lease.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising retail salespersons and sales clerks.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Work setting
- The candidate must work in a specialty shop.
- The candidate will be required to work in a clothing store where they will greet customers and assist them in selecting apparel and accessories, all while promoting sales through excellent service.
- The candidate should work in a retail business, purchase goods from a manufacturer or a wholesaler and sell these goods to consumers in small quantities.

- The candidate must be familiar with merchandising or window displays.

- The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
