Job Description

  • The candidate must balance and deposit cash.
  • The candidate must communicate with chefs and customers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ordering and receiving liquor and other supplies, as well as maintaining inventory.
  • The candidate will be responsible for inspecting dining rooms as well as other food and beverage serving areas.
  • The candidate must deposit cash and keep daily log books.
  • The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
  • The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • The candidate must attend to seating arrangements for large groups.
  • The candidate must greet customers.
  • The candidate must perform opening and closing activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for receiving customer reservations and assigning tables.
  • The candidate will be expected to accept payments from customers.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must supervise staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • The candidate must have Food and Beverage Server Training, ProServe program, and a First Aid Certificate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
  • The candidate should work in a coffee shop that provides patrons with a place to congregate, talk, read, write, entertain one another, or pass the time, whether individually or in small groups.
  • The candidate must work in a microbrewery.
