Job requirements
- Candidates must attain a graduation with a degree from a recognised university with specialization in environmental and natural sciences.
- They must attain dedicated experience in conducting and reviewing environmental impact assessments to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain experience in preparing and reviewing technical/scientific reports.
- They must attain good experience in writing documents, presentations, web-based information or public presentations to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain dedicated knowledge of environmental and impact assessment laws, policies and/or procedures.
- Candidates must have dedicated knowledge of methods and procedures applicable to scientific testing and/or data/sample collection
- Candidates must attain the ability to follow appropriate protocols for data/sample collection and compilation.
- Candidates must attains the ability to carry out active resource management and monitoring projects to be eligible for this post.
- Knowledge of the Federal Action Plan for Contaminated Sites or Nature legacy program.
- They must attain a dedicated valid class 5 driver’s license to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must ensure the willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment.
- Candidates with dedicated knowledge of the aquatic or terrestrial environment, vegetation and wildlife specific to Parks Canada protected areas are preferred for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates who have dedicated field working experience are considered as an asset.
