Job Description

  • The candidate must administer medications.
  • The candidate will be responsible for collecting specimens.
  • The candidate must ensure infection control.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring nutritional intake.
  • The candidate must prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing surgical areas.
  • The candidate must take vital signs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring established respiratory and intravenous therapy.
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing nursing services to patients within a defined scope of practise based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
  • The candidate must monitor patients’ progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is an asset.
  • The candidate must have an Acute care nursing Certificate, CPR and First Aid Certificates, be eligible for practical nurse licensure in their province/territory of employment, and have completed the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
