Job Description

The candidate must assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments.
The candidate must engage in community program development.
The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients and advising physicians of any changes in their condition.
The candidate must participate in community needs assessment.
The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
The candidate must operate or monitor medical equipment or apparatus.
The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.
The candidate must provide supportive counselling and life skills programming.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising licenced practical nurses and other nursing personnel.
The candidate must perform administrative tasks.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work.
The candidate should be accurate.

The candidate must work in a home care and visiting care agency, as well as in a hospital/medical facility or clinic.
The candidate should work in a hospital or home for the aged; an aged care home, residential care and nursing home all describe the same service.
The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don’t need to be in a hospital but can’t be cared for at home.
