Job Description

  • The candidate must assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments.
  • The candidate must engage in community program development.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients and advising the physician of any changes in patients’ condition.
  • The candidate must participate in a community needs assessment.
  • The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
  • The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
  • The candidate must perform a disease screening.
  • The candidate must deliver health education programs.
  • The candidate must deliver immunization programs.
  • The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • The candidate must engage in nursing-related research activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing home care cases.
  • The candidate must operate or monitor medical equipment or apparatus.
  • The candidate must provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice.
  • The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.
  • The candidate must provide supportive counselling and life skills programming.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising licenced practical nurses and other nursing personnel.
  • The candidate must perform administrative tasks.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have a CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • The candidate must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work and licensed as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.

  • The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don’t need to be in a hospital but can’t be cared for at home.
