Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients and advising the physician of any changes in their condition.
• The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
• The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
• The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• The candidate will be responsible for managing home care cases.
• The candidate must operate or monitor medical equipment or apparatus.
• The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to supervise 16 to 20 people.
• The candidate must have Intravenous (IV) therapy Certification, Tracheostomy care training, CPR Certification, and be licensed as a Registered nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
• The candidate should be accurate.
• The candidate should be client focused.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
• The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
• The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate must have excellent time management skills.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in a private residence, a hospital or home for the aged, a nursing home or home for the aged, a hospital or medical facility or clinic, or a home care and visiting care agency.

• The candidate should undergo a thorough adult abuse registry check, basic security clearance, child abuse registry check, criminal background check and vulnerable sector check.
• The candidate must have proof of immunization.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have their own vehicle.

• The candidate should have an eye for details.
• The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced busy environment.
• The candidate must perform manual dexterity tasks.
• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
