Job Description

  • The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • The candidate must assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
  • The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
  • The candidate must deliver health education programs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing home care cases.
  • The candidate must provide consulting services regarding issues relevant to nursing practice and the nursing profession.
  • The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.
  • The candidate must provide supportive counselling and life skills programming.
  • The candidate will supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing personnel.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have a CPR and First Aid certificate, be eligible for Registered Psychiatric Nurse licensure in their province of work, and be licensed as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
