Job Description

Candidates applying for this post are accountable for the supervision of staff and volunteers and ensure that the City’s policies and procedures are met during the performance of ongoing duties.
They’re accountable at this post to manage client registration in programs applied for this post.
People accountable at this post to perform program maintenance in PRCMS including program inputting, cancellation and changes working at this post.
Candidates accountable at this post to provide information to the public regarding programs and facilities courteously and professionally.
Candidates who applied for this post are required to develop and work with various committees in the community and schools to develop recreation opportunities working at this post.

Job requirement

Applicants must have graduated from a recognized university or college-level program to be eligible for this post.
Candidates must have 2 years of progressively responsible experience in recreation, including supervision, or an equivalent acceptable combination of training and experience to be eligible for this post.
Applicants must have a current Emergency First Aid and CPR certificate to be eligible for this post.
Candidates must attain the ability to remain calm and problem-solve in the face of conflict to be eligible for this post.
Candidates must have a valid BC Driver’s License with safe driving history along with eligibility to register with BCRPA in a relevant Specialty or an acceptable equivalent to be eligible for this post.

Work setting

Applicants must have strong interpersonal and public relations skills and must be able to work well independently and in a team setting.
