Job Description
- Candidates applying for this post are accountable for the supervision of staff and volunteers and ensure that the City’s policies and procedures are met during the performance of ongoing duties.
- They’re accountable at this post to manage client registration in programs applied for this post.
- People accountable at this post to perform program maintenance in PRCMS including program inputting, cancellation and changes working at this post.
- Candidates accountable at this post to provide information to the public regarding programs and facilities courteously and professionally.
- Candidates who applied for this post are required to develop and work with various committees in the community and schools to develop recreation opportunities working at this post.
Job requirement
- Applicants must have graduated from a recognized university or college-level program to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have 2 years of progressively responsible experience in recreation, including supervision, or an equivalent acceptable combination of training and experience to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must have a current Emergency First Aid and CPR certificate to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain the ability to remain calm and problem-solve in the face of conflict to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have a valid BC Driver’s License with safe driving history along with eligibility to register with BCRPA in a relevant Specialty or an acceptable equivalent to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Applicants must have strong interpersonal and public relations skills and must be able to work well independently and in a team setting.
