Receptionist

Nlha’7kapmx Child and Family Services Society based in Lytton, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Receptionist who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to Casual employment or Part time leading to full time job. The shift timings include On Call and 08:30 to 16:30. The candidate will also have the option of working remotely.

Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to greet visitors and direct them to appropriate contacts or service areas.
  • The candidate must provide basic information to clients and the general public.
  • The candidate must obtain and process information needed to provide services.
  • The candidate must be able to operate a switchboard or phone system.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ordering office supplies.
  • The candidate will be expected to make and confirm appointments.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep work records and logs.
  • The candidate must perform clerical duties such as filing, sorting, and distributing mail.
  • The candidate must answer the phone and relay phone calls and messages.
  • The candidate must provide directory assistance.
  • The candidate will be expected to perform administrative and office activities.
  • The candidate will be expected to perform administrative tasks.
  • The candidate will be responsible for office management.
  • The candidate will be responsible for photocopying and collating documents for distribution, mailing, and filing.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime in order to calculate pay and benefit entitlements using manual or computerised systems.
  • The candidate must establish administrative procedures.
