Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the calving process.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fertilizing and spraying crops.
  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining farm machinery, equipment, and buildings.
  • The candidate will be responsible for cleaning and lubricating machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for constructing and repairing wooden or metal supports and structures.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, hay farming, and other miscellaneous crop farming.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
  • The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience using forage and haying equipment.

Area of specialization

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about fences.
