Ramp Service Agent
WestJet has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Ramp Service Agent. Candidates will be responsible for monitoring and supporting of parked and RON aircraft. They will report Safety Hazards and incidents to the Leadership Team. They will be responsible for other functions associated with the safe and efficient operations of the ramp. They must have as per our Alcohol and Drug Policy, all offers of employment are conditional on passing a pre-employment drug screening test. They must have adhere to WestJet safety policies while performing assigned duties.

Job description
- Candidates will deliver connecting and local baggage within standards and in support of successful achievement of Key Performance Indicators.
- They will communicate regularly to 3rd Party Ground Crew Chiefs to ensure properly briefed on flight planning.
- They will offload and transport baggage to appropriate carousels.
- They will operate and position all required ground service equipment airside.
- They will perform basic ground service equipment maintenance checks.
Job requirement
- Candisates must able to work shift work – early mornings, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
- They must able to work up to 12-hour shifts.
- They must able to lift up to 100 lbs. repetitively.
- They must able to work within strict timelines for SPOT (safely performing on time).
Work setting
- Candidate must have basic computer skills are required.
- They must have demonstrated passion for providing outstanding guest care.
- They must hold a valid Provincial Driver’s License (PDL), and can produce a clean driver’s abstract.
