Job Description 

  • Candidates who applied for this post are required to act as a liaison and coordinator between various key stakeholders for a wide variety of design and construction projects working at this post.
  •  Applicants are also required to perform administrative and supervisory duties in project management, planning, coordinating, reporting, monitoring, policy interpretation, and cost control working in this post.
  • Candidates are also appointed at this post to assist senior staff with the preparation, development, and review applied for this post.
  • Candidates working in this post are also required for the implementation of departmental policies, practices and procedures, and capital work programs.
  • They’re required at this post to respond to inquiries from staff, contractors, consultants, and the public working at this post.
  • Candidates are also appointed to assist at public meetings, liaise with outside agencies, and prepare major reports working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates applying for this post must have completed a 2-year diploma in Engineering Technology from a recognized post-secondary institution to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must have 5 years of engineering experience with a demonstrated record of technical knowledge, skills, and ability.
  • They must have supervisory experience in the relevant areas of engineering and an equivalent combination of training and experience to be considered as an asset for this post.
  • Applicants must have a valid BC Driver’s License and must have completed education in Building Technology plus experience in the area of Architecture to be preferred for this post.

Work setting 

  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to conduct field inspections of the work performed and ensure the work is completed according to contractual terms and regulations at this post.
