Job Description

• The candidate must be knowledgeable about food safety and handling.
• The candidate must feed flattened boxes into forming machines in order to construct containers.
• The candidate must remove filled containers from the conveyors.
• The candidate must manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers.
• The candidate will be responsible for feeding and unloading processing machines.
• The candidate must inspect products and packaging for basic quality defects.
• The candidate must clean the machines and immediate work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English or French.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs), 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must be able to work in hot, cold/refrigerated, dusty and wet/damp conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in a food and beverage plant.
• The candidate should work in a meat processing and packing plant or establishment that protects meat and meat products from mechanical, chemical, and biological hazards during processing, storage, and distribution.
