Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to enhance community safety by monitoring and enforcing conditions of court orders.
  • People who apply for this post are required to assess criminogenic and other risks and needs and develop and implement offender case management plans to address those needs working at this post.
  • Candidates are also required to help offenders make positive changes by guiding and supporting their efforts through meaningful interventions, skills building, cognitive-behavioural counselling, referrals, programming and motivational interviewing working at this post.
  • They’re also appointed at this post to provide probation, parole and conditional sentence services to adult offenders working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have a degree in areas like social work, psychology, sociology, and criminology OR a degree and experience greater than five years in total, in a social services or correctional organization, in a role to be eligible for this post.
  •  People must be able to demonstrate and motivational interviewing experience.
  • They must have relationship-building skills to counsel, and provide offenders with guidance and support to be considered as an asset for this post.
  •  They must attain the ability to develop, implement, monitor, update and evaluate offender-focused case management to be eligible for this post.

Work setting 

  • People must attain dedicated experience in the delivery of structured individual and group interventions to be considered an asset for this post.
