Job Description
- Candidates accountable at this post to administer the post office to meet retail hours of operation and delivery expectations.
- They’re also accountable for managing postal revenue, assets and values working at this post.
- They’re appointed at this post to maintain records and prepare reports working at this post.
- Candidates are required to assist with the effective management of mail delivery routes and may sort mail to postal boxes working at this post.
Job requirement
- They must have completed a High School Diploma or provincial equivalency.
- Candidates must have experience in business administration to be eligible for this post.
- They must be able to own or lease premises available one month before the date of hire to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must have experience interacting with the public in a retail and service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
- Candidates must know regulations, methods and procedures for processing mail and providing postal services to be considered as an asset for this post.
- They must have to be physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb.
- Applicants must push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must be able to provide suitable premises in a central location within the community within 30 days and should be the successful candidate to get preferred for this post.
