Job description
- Candidates will provide expertise and strategic advice to staff, management, senior management.
- They are developing strategic and operational policies, strategies and programs for the homelessness service delivery system.
- Candidates will enhance services for people experiencing homelessness.
- They provide strategic advice and policy leadership for homelessness service delivery system.
- Candidates lead the implementation of the actions in Meeting in the Middle.
- They will support the effective administration of programs by drafting program documents and other communications.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have experience as a First Nations, Inuit or Métis person, and experience working with Indigenous peoples.
- They must have post-secondary education in public administration, public policy and social science.
- They must have experience in project management to effectively meet deadlines.
- They must have experience in community engagement.
- They must have knowledge of policies affecting homelessness, housing and shelter services as an asset.
- They must have experience in writing comprehensive complex and formal reports.
Work setting
- Candidates must have experience in strategy development, planning, and policy analysis and development.
- They must have excellent written communication skills and oral communication skills.
- They must have the ability to work independently as well as organize.
- They must have the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex policy.
