Job Description

  • People interested in this post are accountable for developing and preparing standard operating procedures and policy and program guidelines for the implementation of new policies, practices, protocols, by-laws, and by-law amendments, working at this post.
  • They’re also accountable at this post to develop targets and criteria to measure the effectiveness and success of policies applied for this post.
  • Candidates who apply for this post are required to maintain cooperative and transparent relationships with City staff, stakeholders, and other orders of government.
  • They’re also required to participate in inter-divisional policy/program development initiatives working at this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates interested in this post must have completed post-secondary education in health, public administration, public policy, social science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • They must attain experience with policy development and implementation in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
  • Candidates must attain prior experience in project management to be eligible for this post.
  • People must know relevant issues and trends as they relate to long-term care and senior care.
  • They must attain strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare policies, reports, work plans, presentations and other materials to be eligible for this post.
