Job Description 

  • Candidates working at this post are appointed for preparing for and attending court, a hearing or inquiry to give evidence. 
  • They’re also appointed for providing support immediately after an incident, which can victimize, traumatize, or create concern for a neighborhood and its residents. 
  • Abdicated working at this post will have to be proactive and use information, evidence, and insights from neighborhood partners to identify issues and co-develop solutions, including referrals to appropriate community resources, to name a few.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must be physically and mentally able to perform the duties of the position, having regard to your own safety and the safety of members of the public. 
  • Candidates must have successfully complete at least four years of secondary school education or its equivalent to be eligible for this post  
  • Candidates must be of a good moral character and habits, meaning that you are an individual that other people would look upon as being trustworthy and having integrity to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must be able to pass a security clearance as well as background investigation, which includes education, employment, personal history, credit and reference checks, as well as a home visit. 
  • Candidates must have a current and valid Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police Certificate of Results to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have a valid “G” driver’s license with no more than six demerit points, permitting you to drive an automobile in Ontario with full driving privileges. 

Work setting 

  • They must have fluency in English, both written and verbal and attain the ability to speak and write fluently in a second language.
