Job Description
- The candidate must be able to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications in order to determine the layout of the plumbing system, water supply network, waste and drainage systems, and so on.
- The candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
- The candidate will be responsible for locating and marking positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- The candidate must cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
- The candidate must join pipes with couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- The candidate must test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- The candidate must determine the piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- The candidate must measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate must have a Plumber’s Red Seal Certificate.
