Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to work with little supervision.
  • The candidate must be able to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams.
  • The candidate must perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • The candidate will be expected to monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems in order to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure that plant systems are operating normally.
  • The candidate must keep a daily log of operations, maintenance, and safety activities.
  • The candidate must complete and maintain station records, logs, and reports.
  • The candidate must clean and lubricate machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist in the development of operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • The candidate must assist with routine system testing.
  • The candidate will be required to analyse and record instrument readings as well as equipment malfunctions.
  • The candidate must troubleshoot, take corrective action, and perform minor repairs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for coordinating trade contractors’ maintenance activities.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
  • The candidate must have a 4th Class Stationary Engineer licence.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work at heights.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
